Our approach

Three things we look at first.

Weight management at CosmoAyu starts with understanding you, not with a number on a scale.

i

Digestion & metabolism

In Ayurveda, how you digest and metabolise food is central. Your doctor asks about appetite, meals, timings and how you feel after eating.

ii

Sleep & stress

Late nights, long stress and irregular routines all show up in the body. Your plan takes them into account alongside food.

iii

Routine & constitution

Your dosha, daily rhythm, activity and health history shape the diet and lifestyle guidance you receive.

How it works

A plan built around you.

01

Consultation

A full consultation with your doctor covering your health history, digestion, sleep, stress, diet and routine.

02

Diet & lifestyle

Practical diet and routine guidance that fits your day, your food habits and your constitution.

03

Therapies

Suitable Ayurvedic therapies in the clinic, chosen by your doctor, alongside the plan at home.

04

Reviews

Regular reviews so your plan is adjusted to how you respond, not left unchanged.

At the clinic

What a visit includes.

Each plan is different. Depending on what your doctor recommends, it may include:

  • A detailed Ayurvedic consultation and dosha evaluation
  • Diet guidance and a daily routine you can follow
  • Body therapies such as massage, Alepanam full body pack and body polishing, if suitable for you
  • Panchakarma, if indicated by your doctor
  • Follow-up reviews, with online consultations available

Plans are individual. Outcomes vary with the condition, its stage and the patient’s response.

Assessment

What your doctor looks at.

Every plan starts with a consultation. Your doctor asks about:

  • Your goal and your weight history: when it changed and what you have tried
  • Appetite, meal timings, digestion and cravings
  • Sleep, stress, work hours and activity
  • Health conditions such as thyroid, diabetes, PCOS or blood pressure, and every medicine you take
  • An Ayurvedic assessment of your constitution (prakriti) and dosha

Bring a list of your medicines and any recent reports. You leave knowing what is likely behind the concern and what your plan involves, including its cost, before anything begins.

Is it right for you?

Who this care suits.

Often suited to

  • Adults who want a steady, practical diet and routine plan
  • People whose weight changed with stress, sleep or routine
  • People who want therapies chosen by a doctor alongside the plan
  • People already under a physician who want Ayurvedic support with their physician’s knowledge

See a doctor or specialist first if you have

  • Weight loss or gain that is fast and unexplained
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Diabetes, heart, kidney or thyroid conditions, or regular medicines: keep your physician involved and do not stop any medicine
  • A past or present eating disorder: please tell your doctor, so the plan is safe for you
  • Anyone under 18: an appointment is made by a parent or guardian

If any of these apply, tell us when you book. Your doctor may ask you to see a dermatologist or physician, or to have tests, before therapies.

Questions

Good to know.

Do you help with weight management?

Yes. Weight management at CosmoAyu starts with a consultation that looks at digestion, sleep, stress, diet and daily routine. Your doctor then plans diet and lifestyle guidance with suitable Ayurvedic therapies. Plans are individual, and outcomes vary from person to person.

What happens at my first consultation?

Your doctor asks about your concern, health history, digestion, sleep, stress, diet and routine, and evaluates your dosha. You leave knowing what is likely behind the problem and what your treatment will involve.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your concern and how you respond. Your doctor suggests a plan at the first consultation and adjusts it at each review.

How much does it cost?

Every plan is personalised. Your doctor explains the recommended plan and its cost at your consultation, before anything begins.

Can I consult online?

Yes. Online video consultations are available by prior appointment. Therapies take place at our clinic in Dharampeth, Nagpur.
